Parish Life
The Parish Life Ministry carries a lot of responsibility in the life of the church. We have 9 ministry members but also rely on many other people in the church to help us meet our responsibilities. Those responsibilities include – but are certainly not limited to – the following:
- Consulting with the Pastor regarding the spiritual life of the Church, which means being responsible for the Church’s ministry of worship and Sunday hospitality.
- Being responsible for nurturing the current membership, especially the homebound and recruiting new members.
- In charge of the allocation and disbursement of benevolence funds.
- Responsible for programs and services to the wider community, such as sending a mission group to Guatemala in March, 2009.
Christian Education
The Christian Education Ministry works on behalf of all members of the congregation to provide opportunities for education and spiritual growth.
Sunday School, adult education and social issues fora, Lenten speaker series, confirmation classes, special holiday and benevolence events and more fall under the rubric of the Christian Education Ministry.
Facilities and Finance
The responsibilities of Facilities and Finance include maintenance and improvements of the building and grounds, insurance, facility and grounds rental, supervision of support personnel and stewardship. There are nine members serving within this ministry.
